ESSENCE CABINETS LIMITED 5-YEAR WARRANTY
Essence Cabinets are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from material and workmanship defects under
normal use. This warranty is non transferable from the original consumer purchaser and is applicable to product
used for residential purposes. Warranty coverage starts at the possession date or 120 days after installation date,
whichever comes first. Warranty coverage for supply only jobs starts at the time of delivery. No dealer of Essence
has authority to change or enlarge this warranty.
This warranty covers only parts and materials of the products supplied by Essence. Any defects in material or
workmanship will be either repaired or replaced at the discretion of an authorized Essence Cabinet’s representative.
This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, negligence, misuse,
abuse, normal wear of the finish including scratches / nicks / natural aging, lack of reasonable and necessary
maintenance and service, lack of proper moisture(40-50 percent relative humidity) or temperature level; nor does it
warranty the improper installation or unauthorized repair, attempted repair, alteration, or modification or defect, in
the unit when the product is installed. Essence will not be responsible or liable for any indirect, consequential or
incidental damages or costs sustained by the user. All cabinetry sold for use in a commercial or rental basis is
limited to a one year warranty.
LIMITED WARRANTY ON NATURAL WOOD PRODUCTS
Wood is a natural product which is in a continual state of expansion and contraction due to humidity and temperature
changes, which may cause hairline cracks along rails and stiles assembly joints of the cabinet's face frame, slab
and 5-piece door, slab and 5-piece drawer front. These hairline cracks or movements will not weaken the finish and
are considered acceptable as industry standard, therefore not covered by this warranty.
Essence utilizes only select solid wood and wood veneers. However, wood varies in color for shades of white, red,
black, even green areas. Mineral streaks may be visible too, where parts of the tree absorbed minerals differently
in one area than another. Grain and apparent texture will vary form "even" to "wild".
Natural variations will be present throughout the wood product and are more visible on darker finishes. They will
occur on adjacent cabinets, between pairs of doors and drawers on the same panels. The effect of these variations
in an entire project may be different from what you may visualize in a smaller display of finish sample. While a door
sample may show all of the previously mentioned variations not every door in your project will. Due to the random
placement of these variations, every door will be unique and some doors may receive all of the effects, others just
a few. The variations are broad, but they are the beauty of wood. Essence is not responsibile for the type and/or
degree of variations you may experience in your job and these types of natural variations in the wood are not
considered to be warrantable.
Sunlight, heat, cleaners and other environmental conditions may affect the color over time. The finish of replacement
parts is not guaranteed to exactly match the finish of the original components due to the changes that occur during
the natural aging that affects color and grain. For more information, please refer to Essence Customer Care
LIMITED WARRANTY ON UNFINISHED PRODUCTS
Unfinished cabinets lack the protection of a finish coat and are more susceptible to damage from variations in
temperature and humidity. This warranty does not cover unfinished products.
LIMITED WARRANTY ON THERMOFOIL/Melamine PRODUCTS
Thermofoil (or vinyl wrapped) cabinetry is a prefinished material which is affixed onto a stable core material. The
finish is susceptible to damage when exposed to harmful conditions. Discolouration and damage can occur if this
material is exposed to heat, smoke, oils, harsh chemicals, and even sunlight. This material is not covered by
warranty if any of these conditions contributed to the wear, discolouration, or other visual deficiencies. In addition,
this warranty does not apply to any thermofoil products installed without the use of properly installed heat shields
(adjacent to appliances) or protection from fixtures, such as lighting that generates high temperatures.
LIMITED WARRANTY ON PARTS
Countertops, accessories, and other items supplied by Essence but manufactured by other suppliers, are covered
for a period of one year. Door hinges, handles, drawer slides, wood drawer boxes, and wood slide out trays, carry
a 5 year limited warranty and will be replaced if failure occurs. This warranty does not cover normal incidental
deterioration or abnormal use during the standard life of the product. Drawers and shelves can hold certain amount
of weight. 5-piece box drawer 3⁄4” extension with side mount white nylon roller carries one (1) year warranty. For
more information, please refer to Essence Customer Care Guideline.
ESSENCE warranty is limited to the value of the original materials purchased from Essence and is further limited
in amount to the purchase price paid for such materials. The cost of extraneous materials, labor, travel costs,
installation expenses or other related expenditures, are covered only for the first year of warranty period.
This warranty does not cover adjustments of doors, drawers, and other accessories, and resealing joints between
cabinets and walls, which are required from time to time due to settling or drying out of the house, or with extended
use. These adjustments are not considered defects and are part of the typical home owner maintenance. For more
information on adjustment instructions, please refer to Essence Customer Care Guideline. Door warpage of 3/16”
or less from corner to corner is also considered to be within tolerance and is not covered under this warranty.
Essence reserves at its own discretion the right to change design, specifications, and materials of its products.
Replacement parts are subject to availability, and therefore warranty replacement parts may differ slightly from the
original parts. If the warrantable product is discontinued, an alternate solution will be sought with you.

resulting from causes beyond its control, including but not limited to, acts of God, acts of Government, wars, fires,
